ENDLESS PRAYER, Sirawit Chatu's first solo exhibition at Palette Art Space in 2023 portrays the prosperity religion phenomenon in Thai society where things are consecrated by economic contexts. Folklore is assimilated into the narrative of capitalists. Beliefs are woven together with the internet by the invisible hand. When neo-liberal capitalism casts its spells upon the spiritual realm, 'prayer' becomes 'endless'.
The exhibition delves into the intricate relationship between capitalism and spirituality, highlighting how economic factors have become intertwined with religious practices.
